Unable to Use Backspace Key

  • Problem When working in Expression Web with the Property Count or Notes Window opened (two modeless windows) and then moving focus to another application and then back to Expression Web, you may encounter certain unresponsive keys, like the arrow, Backspace and Enter keys. This happens because the focus when using these keys is returned back to the modeless window instead of Expression Web.
  • Solution Click the modeless window (Property Count or Notes) before making edits in Expression Web or close the modeless window.

What To Do With the Sitemap.xml File

The sitemap.xml file is a standard protocol to help search engines do a better job of indexing your site. The protocol is stewarded by Sitemap.org and accepted by Google, Yahoo!, Microsoft Live, Ask.com, and others. Search engines expect this file to be in your root folder.

You can let Google and Yahoo know about your sitemap file by signing up for free accounts with each engine. You also get other useful information about your site.
